-Abstracts 3 hours

-Directors Meeting 2 hours
  • ·       Add to manual: Hit Alumni pages for indiegogo; summarize “illegal assignment”
  • ·       Reach out to Education Director of SXSW; ask for four comped badges
  • ·       CSURF Supplies Award- deadline 10Feb

-Department Meeting 2 hours
  • ·       Friday dinner plans: outside or transform clocktower lounge, need a budget, number of attendees
  • ·       EK can’t do presentations at the beginning of class
  • ·       Mel should be presenting next week not this week per Shannon’s email
  • ·       Mel is meeting with Rika tomorrow about After Indiegogo Survey
  • ·       We need to discuss if someone else with a lite load in the class can pick up the bake sale

Business Sponsors Dirty Dozen

Business Sponsors

1. Objectives: Raise at least $750 from local businesses, start or maintain professional business relationships

2. Customer: Us, Potential sponsors

3. Results: We raise our goal, create new relationships, able to bring in more filmmakers/scholars

4. Budget: None

5. Amount of time: A lot of time. Probably… 10 hours setting everything up and a couple hours a day visiting businesses.

6. Skills: People person, articulate, able to wheel and deal

7. Needed resources: New sponsorship packet, stock paper to print brochures, printer, ink, car, gas, time

8. Who’s involved: In charge- Ally, Assisting- EK, Emma if needed and available

9. Schedule:
·       Thursday, 29Jan- Rollout schedule done
·       Saturday, 31Jan- All brochures printed and folded
·       Monday, 02Feb- All packets labeled and ready
·       Monday, 02Feb-09Mar- Business cold calling
·       Tuesday, 17Feb- Follow ups start
·       Tuesday, 24Feb- 2nd Follow ups start

10. Risks:
·       My car dies leaving me stranded: Low Risk/High Impact- I would have to make a new schedule where I ride with EK or try to find a car to borrow
·       No one donates: High Risk/High Impact- I don’t know. Keep on truckin?
·       Can’t get a hold of a manager: Low Risk/Low Impact: Be persistent, plan ahead on when he/she will be there, go above the manager

11. Communication: Facebook and Phones


12. Success?: If we reach our goal of $750, create new business relationships, no one gets a ticket, no one’s car blows up

Spring Event Dirty Dozen

1. Objectives: Host an event that not only brings in funds ($200) but also sheds positive light on V5. Helps create community within a fun and festive atmosphere.


2. Customer: Us, Friends, Family, Attendees


3. Results: We raise our goal ($200) and have a good time.


4. Budget: RIght now… $0. BUT we are accepting donations…?


5. Amount of time: Planning will take a few hours a week between the two of us (A&M)


6. Skills: Organization, time management, people skills


7. Needed resources: Venue, entertainment, prizes, decorations


8. Who’s involved: I’m heading it up, Mel is assisting


9. Schedule:
  • Monday, 26Jan- Meeting with Curtis (The Blind Elephant) about securing venue
  • Tuesday, 27Jan- Work on backup venue plans
  • Monday, 02Feb- Entertainment Secured
  • Tuesday, 03Feb- Art finalized
  • Friday, 06Feb- Social media posts start
  • Friday, 06Feb- Flyers and posters printed out
  • Monday, 16Feb- Party


10. Risks:
  • No funds for decorations: High Risk/High Impact= Homemade decorations, use old party leftovers
  • Entertainment bails: Low Risk/High Impact= Plan ahead, keep great communication, ghetto DJ that shit

11. Communication: Phones and Facebook


12. Success?: If we make at least $200, no mishaps, have a good time, meet new people, promote Visions.
